Class Descriptions

Glory Days Preschool is open to children ages 2½ through Pre-K (4 and 5 year-olds). We also offer a Parent/Toddler Class for parents and their children under the age of 2-1/2. See the class description below to learn more.

As a Christian preschool, we are thrilled to have the privilege of teaching our students about God. Students get to hear stories from the Bible, sing worship songs and learn basic Bible truths such as God made us, He loves us and He is always with us.

We follow the Washington State Department of Health, Lake Washington School District, and Sammamish Presbyterian Church's guidance regarding the mask policy. Right now, at Glory Days Preschool masks are optional for staff, students, and their families. If any of the above institutions update their guidelines regarding masks, we will follow suit.

All Preschool Classes meet from 9:15am-12:00pm. Lunch Bunch is available for all from 12:00-1:00pm.  All classes subject to change.

Parent/Toddler class

Our parent/toddler class is open to children under the age of 2 ½ and is a wonderful introduction to preschool. The class is a “mini” version of our preschool day with a time for free choice play, a circle time with music, a craft time and snack time. Children learn to be comfortable on our campus with mom or dad by their side so are more prepared to come on their own when they are old enough for preschool. This class meets on Monday mornings from 9:15-10:30amIt is offered in three sessions for fall, winter and spring. Registration is separate for each session.

2 ½ year old class:

In our youngest drop off class, we focus mainly on social skills (learning to be away from mom and dad, sharing, speaking up about our needs, and interacting with others). The daily schedule includes a circle time focusing on a weekly theme, art, story time, active play, snack, and lots of time for free choice play and exploring. This class meets two days a week (M, W).

3 year old class:

Our three year old classes also focus on gaining social skills while adding an academic component that is developmentally appropriate. While the students rarely do “worksheets” they will be learning pre-writing skills through singing, reading and being surrounded by the written and spoken language. Pre-math skills are taught through fun counting, patterning and calendar activities. Like the 2 ½ year old class, the 3’s class is play based and is comprised of circle time, art, story time, active play, snack and free choice play. This class meets three days a week (T, W, Th) or four days a week (M, T, W, Th).

Pre-K class

In our Pre-K classes, we continue to offer a play based program that prepares students for kindergarten in a developmentally appropriate way. These classes are comprised of all of the elements listed in the 3 year old class. In addition we implement curriculum from Handwriting Without Tears (proper pencil grip and letter formation)  and Exploring Math & Science in Preschool (NAEYC) to make sure the students head off to kindergarten with the skills they need to be successful. This class meets four days a week (M-Th).

Our fun weekly lab for 3 ½ to 4-year-olds provides opportunities for students to explore STEM and STEAM activities that will enhance their sensory and intellectual stimulation. This class can be paired with a 3 day class or children can register for just this class. It meets on Mondays from 10:00am to 12:00pm. It is offered in three sessions for fall, winter and spring. Registration is separate for each session.

We offer a weekly yoga class for 3-year-olds and  older. Children will participate in a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with breathing and relaxation. Music, movement, artwork and stories will be used to engage the children.

Lunch Bunch

Lunch Bunch offers the opportunity for all students to extend their day by an hour. Each student brings their own lunch and gets to eat with their classmates and teachers. There is also additional time for free choice play, reading and outdoor active play. The fee for each session is $9.
