Glory Days Preschool is open to children ages 2½ through Pre-K (4 and 5 year-olds). We also offer a Parent/Toddler Class for parents and their children under the age of 2-1/2. See the class description below to learn more.
As a Christian preschool, we are thrilled to have the privilege of teaching our students about God. Students get to hear stories from the Bible, sing worship songs and learn basic Bible truths such as God made us, He loves us and He is always with us.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Parent/Toddler class
Our Parent/Toddler class is open to children under the age of 2 ½ and is a wonderful introduction to preschool. The class is a “mini” version of our preschool day with a time for free choice play, circle time, craft time, snack time and outdoor play. Children learn to be comfortable on our campus with mom, dad or caregivers by their side, so they are more prepared to come on their own when they are old enough for preschool.
2 ½ year old class:
Not offered in 2023-2024 school year
In our youngest drop off class, we focus mainly on social skills which includes learning to be away from mom and dad, sharing, speaking up about their needs, interacting with others and transitions. The daily schedule includes a circle time, focusing on a weekly theme, art, story time, outdoor active play, sensory play, chapel, snack, and lots of time for free choice play and exploring.
3 year old class:
Our 3's class focuses on gaining social skills while adding an academic component that is developmentally appropriate. Students will learn pre-writing skills through a variety of hands-on activities to develop their fine motor skills. Pre-math skills are taught through fun counting, patterning, calendar, and cooking activities. The students are introduced to simple science experiments. The 3’s class is play based and is comprised of chapel, yoga, circle time, art, music, story time, outdoor active play, math and science activities, snack, and free choice play.
Pre-K class
In our Pre-K class, we continue to offer a play based program that prepares students for kindergarten in a developmentally appropriate way. Math skills are taught through counting, sorting, patterning, games, calendar, and cooking activities. The students are introduced to engaging science experiments. We implement curriculum from Handwriting Without Tears and Zoophonics to develop proper pencil grip, writing and reading skills. This class is comprised of chapel, Yoga, circle time, art, music, story time, outdoor active play, math and science activities, snack, and free choice play. This class is designed to make sure the students head off to kindergarten with the skills they need to be successful and independent.
YOGA
We offer a weekly yoga class for 3-year-olds and older. Children will participate in a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with breathing and relaxation. Music, movement, artwork, and stories will be used to engage the children.
Lunch
Classes that include lunch offer the opportunity for all students to extend their day. Each student brings their own lunch/water bottle and gets to eat with their classmates and teachers. There is also additional time for free choice play, reading and outdoor active play.
